Feeling Stylish?

For all of my followers I have decided to offer you guys the opportunity to become healthy advocates on the go! I have created some products to promote my website and have provided the link below.  Wearing these products can help to spread the word about the importance of being healthy to those who are in the same situation as us!  We can be apart of change with these products and I hope that you guys will help support youandihealthy by purchasing some for yourself.  I have made t-shirts for men and women that can be tank tops, long sleeves or short sleeves.  You can check out my products here at youandiheathly.  These comfy tees are worth it just see for yourself!

I have decided to create these youandihealthy t-shirts for the following reasons:

- To promote my blog; youandihealthy.
- To promote being healthy.
- To provide fashion for my followers.
- To promote organic clothing and products to my customers.

To promote my blog:I thought t-shirts would be a great way to spread the word about youandihealthy.  Advertising is a huge key to success and I thought there would be no better way to promote my blog other than to make t-shirts for my followers.  I believe that being healthy is very important these days and I want to put emphasis on its importance.  Some people have no idea what they are doing wrong when it comes to being healthy, and simply give up.  I want my blog to be the answer to those who are feeling defeated because we have all been there and it is no fun.

To promote being healthy:Like I have said before, these days it is especially important to be healthy.  With so many processed foods being proven to cause cancers among individuals around the globe it has never been so crucial to be healthy.  Even though there are so many options to become healthy these days, there are a million other ways that people can be unhealthy.  This kind of temptation can be so easy to give into and promoting youandihealthy could be the one way that those temptations can be eliminated once and for all!  I'm not saying you need to buy my t-shirts to promote being healthy, but always remember how important it is to spread the healthy idea.  Whether it be by serving healthy snacks at your Super Bowl party or by inviting some of your closest friends to come to the gym with you, you could be the reason that people decide to start living a healthy life.

To provide fashion:We all know how important style is these days.  So these shirts are your one stop shop for fashion.  They are stylish, organic and healthy (well at least promoting being healthy).  A kaleidoscope way of showing healthy fruits is a great but subtle way to promote being healthy.  These simple but stylish tees are great for those who don't want a shirt that just goes right out and says, "look at me I'm healthy!"  They are a great way to show everyone that you are healthy and promoting a healthy lifestyle without rubbing it in everyones faces.

To promote organic products:It's important to be healthy, but it is also important to keep the environment healthy.  With these t-shirts that are made from 100 percent organic cotton they are great for the environment!  I also have other products on my site such as water bottles, bags and stickers that are all made organically as well!  So you know that with every purchase you are not only promoting being healthy but you are also helping the environment instead of hurting it.
Some tips to help spread the word:These tips can be a great conversation starter for those that are looking to start being healthy and who are unaware of the cancer causing foods out there.  I found something really interesting on drkelley.info.  This website is focused on making people aware of the causes of cancer, especially when it comes to foods as well as ways to prevent it.  One thing interesting I found on this website was the sixteen cancer causing foods you probably eat everyday.  These foods will shock you, just as much as they shocked me.

1. Microwave popcorn
2. Soda pop
3. Canned tomatoes
4. Processed meats
5. Farmed salmon
6. Potato chips
7. Hydrogenated oils
8. Foods that are highly salted, pickled or smoked
9. Highly processed white flours
10. GMO's
11. Refined sugar
12. Artificial sweeteners
13. Diet anything (i.e. diet coke)
14. Alcohol
15. Red meat
16. Non-organic fruits

According to perm.org, "thirty five percent to fifty percent of cancers are caused by foods."
Two important tips I have gained from perm.org are that fibre prevents cancer and the importance of vegetables.

The importance of fiber:
Also according to perm.org, "In 1970, British physician Dennis Burkitt observed that a high-fiber diet reduces diseases of the digestive tract. He observed that in countries where diets are high in fiber (that is, plant-based diets), there were fewer cases of colon cancer. Around the world, this has proven true."  If you want to give someone a tip on how to be healthy tell them to increase their fibre intake!

The importance of vegetables:
Vegetables are great because they are low in fat and high in fiber.  They also contain many cancer-fighting substances.  Another interesting fact I stumbled upon on perm.org states that, "Carotenoids, the pigment that gives fruits and vegetables their dark colors, have been shown to help prevent cancer. Beta-carotene, present in dark green and yellow vegetables, helps protect against lung cancer and may help prevent cancers of the bladder, mouth, larynx, esophagus, breast, and other sites."  Now I know why my parents also told me I had to finish my vegetables before I left the dinner table.
All in all, I have created these t-shirts to promote awareness of my blog, to promote being healthy, to provide fashion to my followers and to provide organic clothing options to protect the environment.  I have also provided some conversation starters that emphasize the importance of being healthy.  If you are interested you can buy my shirt here at youandihealthy if not don't forget to spread the word of being healthy today!
